4 Games Under 24 hrs/ Phew !!!
What a weekend of hockey for the Stars Pee Wee LL #2 team! The boys played in their first tournament of the year and represented Twin Centre with hard work, great sportsmanship and dignity in 3 hard fought games. The Stars tournament day ended in the consolation final with a record of 2 losses and 1 win in a come from behind victory decided in overtime. All the Stars played extremely well and should be proud of the effort they put forth. Our Hard hat, Smartie award and MVP players of the game are all listed on the other article pages from Dec 10 2016. I can't say enough about the effort they all put forward.
The Stars were not done yet though, as they matched up against the Shamrocks LL 2 team Sunday morning to play their 4th game in less than 24 hours. Expecting tired legs and sleepy eyes the Stars surprised us all with a great team effort and 8-4 victory. Our goal scorers: Jaxsen L (4) Cam B (1) Michael B (2) and Owen V (1). Our assist getters: Michael B (2) Owen V (1) Jaxsen L (2) and Cam B (1). Shout outs to Seager G, for a great game in goal, to Alen V, Hayden F, Scott D, Owen J what a blue line boys, Alan D just missing a back hand, and Alex G great work getting physical and not taking any guff from #25. Todays passing game said it all boys. When you work hard as a team, you win as a team. Our Hard hat player of the game was Jaxen L for a great 2 way effort. Our Smartie award player was Alan D for tracking the puck down on a possible icing to centre in front of the goal for his on coming forwards, a great play.
It's time to take a rest and get ready for Embro on Sunday. See you all at practice Thursday in St Clements.
