Playoff Game 5 Stars vs Wildcats
Our Pee Wee Stars faced off against the Woolwich Wildcats in game 2 of the home at home and came up big with a 4-3 win to split the series 1 game a piece.

The Stars opened the scoring late in the 1st period on a goal by Alan D, assisted by Owen J and then a goal by Cam B unassisted. With the Wildcats striking back late in the 1st the Stars would add another goal by Cam B at the 7:17 mark in the 2nd restoring the 2 goal lead. This didn't stop the Wildcats and they cut the lead in half again with 4:59 left in the second period. The Stars continued press the Wildcats in the 3rd and Michael B restored the 2 goal lead assisted from Alan D, which would prove to be the winning goal as the Wildcats would get one more in the 3rd.

A very tight game in which the Stars fought hard, keeping the Wildcats to the outside and pressing the play in the Wildcats end to eat up the clock preventing them from pulling their goalie.

Our hard hat player of the game was presented to Seager G for another great effort in net, stopping two breakaways. Our smartie award was shared with Michael B, Owen V, Caden P and Alan D; all showed some great back checking skills keeping the Wildcat scorers tied up to deny them chances at the Stars net.

Shout outs to the defensive core who also played amazing, Alen v, Hayden F, Scott D, Jaden G and Owen J, what a performance today.
Our other forwards who had great chances in front of the net; Owen V, just missing the open side, Alex G just about knotted his second of the year, well done keep those efforts alive and you will be rewarded. Big thanks to our Atom partner Caden P for stepping up to fill in for Jaxsen L who will be out of the line up until clear to play by his doctor. We missed you Jax, hurry up and recover and don't get sunburned in Cuba.

A fantastic game and a great team effort, it was good to see all those practice plays being put into effect. Lets keep our energy focused for tomorrows game vs Embro.

Go Stars !!!!
