Stars win Bill Batten Memorial tournament in Exeter!!
When we received the tournament schedule, we knew we were going to be in for some tough games against very good hockey organizations.
Our pool had us up against Mitchell, Kincardine and South Huron. All of these teams have had great success at the novice level and our boys were up for the challenge. We came out of the door flying, every player each shift worked hard to achieve our winning goal in our pool. With 3 hard earned wins, we were off to the semi-finals vs Wallaceburg on Sunday morning with our sights set on the finals (which turned out being North Middlesex). Each of these final games started with our boys showing signs of fatigue after battling through our pool. Determination and strong play at key moments is what brought us success in each game to win the tournament.
All of us coaches are proud of these boys. Congratulations Stars!!!!!!!!!!
