Tough loss to end the Silverstick
It was a sad way to end the tournament but us coaches and parents were definitely not disappointed in our boys.

Every game was a battle like it should be in this level of a tournament.  We started out against a strong team from Hanover who had not lost in league play this year.  We skated strong in this physical game to start the tournament.  Our boys worked hard, won puck battles and eventually the game.  The next 2 games were against Tavistock and they were equally as physical.  We stayed on track and came away with 2 wins putting us into the semi-finals vs Saugeen Shores.  The only thing we new coming into this game is that it would be tough.  The game was back and forth as the players and goalies were sharp.  We managed to get a few goals late in the game to send us to the finals. The stage was now set for an exciting game to conclude the tournament against Mitchell.  Both teams came out fast and there was no score after the first period.  As the game went on we found ourselves in a hole being down 4-1 late in the third.  With tears of sadness in there eyes we found our energy from 2 late goals in the third.  Now the score was 4-3 with under a minute left and we were buzzing around the net but couldn't find a way to put it in.  It was a heartbreaking loss but a good lesson learned.  We are very proud of our Stars in this tournament and to this point of the season.
