Peewee Reps continue to play well!
The Twin Centre Peewee Reps have put together a nice 7 game unbeaten streak with 6 of them wins.

On November 30th, 2013 VS Alymer, the Stars did not appear ready for this one but "woke up" and did not look back.  Alymer scored at the 9:19 mark of the first.  The Stars did not panic, they regrouped with focus and lots of passing.  Cameron Hoy started things off at 6:19 of the first with a nice feed from Brock Krulicki and went top shelf. Aidan Krueger then made it 2-1 which appeared to be an identical goal as the first one,  assisted by Brock Krulicki again at the 4:07 mark of the first.    Brett Springer played great yet again in net and did not give Alymer any life.   In the second, the Stars took the game over out scoring Alymer 4-1 and was leading 6-2 after 2 periods.  Tyler Munro, Daniel Rudy, Brock Krulicki and Blair Bender where the goal scores with assists going to Aidan Krueger, Josh Monk and Alex Kaufman.  Alymer added 2 late goals while the Stars added 1 in the third and the final score was 7-4 for the Stars.   Curtis Butler assisted by Jacob Voisin was the lone Stars third period goal.  Brock Krulicki picked up player of the game honors.

On Dec 4th, 2013 VS Caledonia, the Stars did not look interested for most of the game except goalie Blair Gowing who was the main reason the Stars kept their unbeaten streak alive.  Caledonia dominated most of the play in first 2 periods.  They wanted it more and had pulled ahead 2-0 and it could of easily been 4 or 5 nothing if it were not for Blair's great play in net.  Between the second and third, the message to the boys were, "We owe it Blair for keeping this game close and lets go out and do it for him, because he is doing it for you guys".    The Stars came out with more intensity and effort and took the play to Caledonia.  At 6:13, the Stars finally scored and cut the lead to 2-1.  Daniel Rudy scored the goal assisted by Curtis Butler to help energize the Stars.  With the goal, the Stars continued to battle hard and carried the momentum.  With 20 seconds left,  the puck was finally out of the Stars end and we pulled the goalie.   With the extra attacker, Brock Krulicki had the puck and bumped into a Caledonia player close to the boards and the puck sprang loose, Aidan Krueger picked it up, went in and went 5 hole with 8 seconds left to tie the game and that's how it ended.   A 2-2 tie kept the unbeaten streak alive.  Blair Gowing was without a doubt the difference in this game and received player of the game honors.  It wasn't pretty but a tie is better than a loss!

On Dec 11th, 2013 VS Hagersville, the Stars were focused and ready for this one.  Early in the first, at 9:36, Daniel Rudy scored a nice one with great passing from Brock Krulicki and Curtis Butler.  With solid goal tending from Brett Springer and great defensive play,  Hagersville did not really have many quality chances to score throughout the game. Later in the Second at 2:15, William Weber made a nice pass to  Daniel Rudy who made a nice rush into their zone but was stopped by their D,  the puck came loose and Brock Krulicki picked it up. spun around and shot it at the net and with traffic in front, it found its way in.  2-0 for the Stars after 2.  Early in the third, at 11:52, while on the Power Play, with great puck movement, Alex Kaufman gave a nice pass to Tyler Zyta who then found Aidan Krueger in the corner.  Aidan fired low at the net and it went off the goalie's glove and went it in to make it 3-0 and that is how it ended.    The work ethic and smart plays by defense Josh Monk, Blair Bender, William Weber, Dylan Burton and Jacob Voisin was the big difference in this one.  It was good to see a solid 3 period game from all the players.  Brett Springer recorded the Shut out and was player of the game along with Daniel Rudy.

On Dec 12th, 2013 vs Six Nations, was another story of amazing goal tending by Blair Gowing and lots of physical play resulting in lots of penalties.  Six Nations had a lot of skilled individuals who were able to get a lot of quality scoring chances but was stopped every time by Blair Gowing throughout the game.   The Stars were out shot 15 - 6 after 2 periods and the scoring chance were 8-2 for Six Nations with 3 of them Breakaways but the score remained 0-0 with each team getting 4 penalties in the second period alone.  At 13:19 of the third, Aidan Krueger chipped the puck up the boards to Brock Krulicki who then was able to stick handle around a fallen defender and another defender and then went in on the goalie, he then went to his back hand and put it in the net past the goalie to make it 1-0.   Six Nations continued to put the pressure on but Blair Gowing and the defense shut the door and the Stars won 1-0 in a very good hard fought battle.  Blair Gowing once again was the over whelming difference and received the player of the game honors.

On Dec 15th, 2013 vs Glanbrook, the Stars had their best start to a game this year recording 2 goals within the first 37 seconds of the game.  At 9:31 of the first, Daniel Rudy carried the puck into Glanbrook's zone, went wide,  fired a nice low back hander which beat the goalie and it was 1-0.  The lines were changed and right off the face off, Aidan Krueger got the puck, carried into Glanbrook's zone, made a nice move and the puck went right to Tyler Zyta who made a nice shot to beat the goalie only 8 seconds later at the 9:23 mark.   Glanbrook woke up and started to play with more focus and it was a tight game for the rest of the period.  Brett Springer played well in net and the defense did a great job of not allowing a lot of good quality scoring chances.   Daniel Rudy scored again in the second when him and Brock Krulicki were on a 2 on 1 and Daniel beat the goalie 5 hole.  Curtis Butler pick up the assist.    Glanbrook pulled their goalie while the stars were short handed with 2 minutes left and they scored to make it 3-1.   That is the way it ended and the Stars increased their unbeaten streak to 7 games and have 2 league games remaining before CHrsitmas- this Thursday in Norwich and Friday in Port Dover.
