Update for Peewee Reps in the past couple of weeks
The last couple of weeks for the Peewee Reps have been action packed with some tough breaks and the teams over all play and effort steadily increasing.

On November 14th vs St. George, the Stars came out with a couple of solid periods and were leading a very strong St. George team 3-2 with 5 minutes left in the third.    A couple of bad bounces resulted in the tying goal at 4:49 of the third and then less than 2 minutes later St. George took the lead and did not look back and won the game 4-3.  Goal scorers for the Stars were Alex Kaufman assisted by Curtis Butler and Blair Bender, Jacob Voisin assisted by Curtis Butler.  Brock Krulicki scored assisted by William Weber and Dylan Burton.

On November 20th, the Stars were in Langton.  The tale of the tape was like the past 4 games.  The Stars scored first and were leading by a goal late in the third.  A few questionable calls and bad bounces resulted in Langton tying the game with 2 seconds left and not letting the stars snap their winless streak and increasing it to 7 games.  Goal scorers were Tyler Munro assisted by Brock Krulicki and Dylan Burton, William Weber assisted by Blair Bender and Curtis Butler and Aidan Krueger assisted by Tyler Munro and Dylan Burton.

On November 21st vs Ingersoll, the Stars were facing the first place undefeated Ingersoll Express.  A huge test for the Stars.  It was scoreless after the first period with goalie Brett Springer making a number of big saves.  The Stars opened the scoring in the second by Curtis Butler assisted by Aidan Krueger and Josh Monk.  For the 5th straight game, the Stars were leading after 2 periods and the thought of "We have seen this before and hopefully it does not result in the same outcome" was definitely on the coaching staff's mind.  With 50 seconds left, the Stars were still up by 1 and  Ingersoll pulled their goalie.  At the 36 second mark of the third Aidan Krueger scored in the empty net to put the Stars up by 2.  Ingersoll did not give up and kept trying by to no avail, the Stars finally snap their winless streak and gave Ingersoll their first loss of the season.

On November 22, the Stars were in a tournament in Schomberg On. scheduled to play a game Friday vs Blythe, , Saturday vs Ilderton  and Sunday vs Listowel with hopes of making the final later on Sunday.

Against Blythe, the Stars came out a little flat with possibly the combination of a long drive and having lots of hockey lately and could not really generate many scoring chances.   We were caught flat footed often through out the game.    Blythe went up 2 - 0 late in the third.  The Stars pulled the goalie with 2 minutes left and then Josh Monk scored, assisted by Brock Krulicki and Cameron Hoy close the gap to 1 with 1:17 left.   The boys continues to press and with 10 seconds left, a Blythe player body checked Aidan Krueger which resulted in that player receiving a two game suspension for boarding.  Blythe held on for the win and the Stars were disappointed with their effort.

Against Ilderton,  the Stars new what was at stake and vowed to redeem their selves after the 1st game.  A loss for the Stars would basically eliminate us from the tournament.   Daniel Rudy started things off near the end of the first period with an assist going to Josh Monk.  Ilderton tied things up shortly after and it was tied until Tyler Zyta scored assisted by Daniel Rudy and Blair Bender to make it 2-1.  With lots of action for both teams in the third, goal tending was huge and the Stars hung on for the 2-1 victory.

Against Listowel, a win for either team would advance their team to the finals.    Aidan Krueger scored assisted by Daniel Rudy and William Weber on the power play to give us a 1 - 0 lead.  Just over a minute later, Listowel tied things up and took away our momentum.    With 4 seconds left in the 1st, Listowel scored again and grabbed a 2-1 lead.  Despite some hard work and good chances, the Stars could not put another past Listowel's goalie and Listowel scored another to win the game 3-1 and that was it for the Stars.  Despite not having the same success as the previous tournament, there was lots of team bonding at the hotel,  the effort level had increased and some times you just can't win them all!  The host team from Schomberg won the tournament.

On November 26th vs Cayuga, the Stars seemed to very ready and pumped for this one.  The Stars came out with heart and emotion and played their best over game of the year thus far.  The passing and work ethic was the difference.   An offensive strategy change appeared to help the Stars and they won 12-1 over a pretty good Cayuga team.   Each player for the Stars recorded at least 2 points and this was a huge feat for the players.

On November 28th VS Waterford, the Stars continued where they left off against Cayuga.  With the same effort and determination, the Stars came out flying and Scored 4 goals in the first, 2 in the second and 1 in the third.  Goal scores were Aidan Krueger x3, Daniel Rudy x2, Cameron Hoy and Brock Krulicki.   Assists went out to Cameron Hoy x3, Dylan Burton x2, Jacob Voisin x2, Alex Kaufman, Blair Bender, Aidan Krueger and Curtis Butler.  The Stars only gave up 2 shots in the third and were dominating in all areas of the game.    Blair Gowing held the fort between the pipes and did not give Waterford anything.  A 7-1 victory for the Stars gives them 3 wins in a row in their league and each player is contributing huge to the team's success.

Next up, Game vs Alymer in Wellesley, Sat Nov 30th at 2:55pm.
