Edged Out
Embro Edged out the Stars Saturday 3-2, handing us our 1st loss of the year.
Embro's 1st goal was on a shot from the point that managed to sneak by everyone early in the 1st period. The Stars tightened up for the rest of the period. They had numerous scoring chances but the score remained 1-0 at the end of 1. The Stars continued with lots of shots and scoring chances in the 2nd but Embro was the only team that did - twice. Starting the 3rd down 3-0, the Stars continued with putting pucks at the net and being rewarded with 1 early in the 3rd. Our persistence paid off again and we scored again with 1:25 left. We pulled our goalie for the extra attacker to try and tie things up to no avail. It was a very exciting game for the players, coaches and fans. Looking forward to a busy week starting Thursday night.
