Thursday Night showdown against Ayr 2
The Stars hosted the Ayr Flames 2 in St Clements on Thursday night.
This game was another challenge for our team in the defensive end. We limited Ayr to 2 goals in the first period and moving into the third period trailing 3-0. We got a lucky bounce shortly into the third period on a long shot from centre ice which beat the Ayr goalie. This gave us an offensive kick leading to two more goals and pulling us to within 2 goals of Ayr but we just couldn't stop their offensive attack ending the game with an 8-3 loss. Our goalie again came up big for us facing 31 shots in the game.
We look next to a fun outing at the Hockey Day in Rangers Nation this Saturday where we will take on the Woolwich Wildcats team on the big ice at the Kitchener Auditorium.
