Stars vs Embro Edge -Game 1
The Stars in their 1st play down game of 2016 jumped out to a early lead vs the Edge on 2 goals by Andrew R, 1 in the 1st unassisted and 1 in the second assisted by Jaxsen L.
The lead wouldn't last though and the Edge were quick to tie the game up and take the lead in the 3rd. Under pressure with only 1:35 left on the clock the Stars tied the game up on a goal by Sterling G assisted by Ethan E in battle around the Edge goal. Our Smartie award was presented to Ethan E on a great back check, although you took a penalty on the play you prevented a great scoring opportunity. Our Hard hat player of the game Jaxsen L, with a solid defence effort breaking up several plays in the neutral zone to send the play back to the Embro end. Our player of the game award was presented to Andrew R, who got the Stars rolling. A great effort boys, especially in your new line up. Lets build on this effort and prepare for game 2.
