Platsville Little Brave Tournament
The Stars wrapped up their hockey season with a great showing in the Little Brave Tournament; hosted by the Plattsville Rage.

It was a long Wednesday but there was some exciting hockey to watch.

Game 1: The Stars got off to and early start facing the Rage in their 1st game and picking up a 5-2 victory. Despite the 3 goal difference this was an extremely close game. Andrew R opened the scoring with the 1st goal at 3:42 of 1st, but the Rage answered right back at 3:17 and the tied until the :43 mark of the 2nd when Kyle W on assists from Gabe B and Andrew R would put the Stars back up by 1. Sterling G added the Stars 3rd goal at 8:53 of the 3rd but again the Rage would come back quickly at the 7:24 mark closing the gap to 1. Ryerson S would recapture the goal lead at 3:24 of the 3rd on an unassisted goal and Kyle W would put the Rage away with his 2nd goal at 1:33, assisted by Ryerson S. It was a great way to start the day. Our Smartie Award player of the game: Jaxsen L with some great defensive play blocking shots and clearing the puck out of our end under pressure. Our Hard Hat Player of the game Kyle W for his huge effort.

Game 2: The Stars matched up against Noble King in their 2nd game of the day; a win for the Stars would mean an appearance in the A final. In what was perhaps their best game the Stars battled hard to a 2 goal lead in the 1st period. With Ryerson S popping the 1st goal at 6:05 and Sterling G getting the 2nd assisted by Ethan E. By the end of the 2nd period Noble King had tied the game on a deflection and a power play goal. The 3rd proved to be a scoreless period and overtime was need. Going into the 6th overtime period in a 3 on 3 situation the final goal ended the Stars drive to the A final. Game to was a marvelous game to watch and coach. Each Star played to their full potential. The Smartie player award was presented to Sterling G and our Hard Hat Award was presented to Andrew R.

Game 3: B Final. Game 3 turned out to be a rematch  between the Rage and the Stars in what would prove to be another close battle early on. The Rage captured the 1st goal early in the 1st period but after that the game settled down until the 3rd period, when the rage would add 2 quick goals. Down by 3 Kyle W would answer back for the Stars, getting his 3rd goal of the tournament assisted by Noah B. The Rage would add another and the Stars would answer one more time on a goal by Andrew R, assisted by Gabe B and Ethan E. That would be all she wrote for the Stars day. The Smartie award was shared by Gabe B, Cole M and Jaden G for some great effort defensively and offensively. Our Hard Hat player of the game Seager Grubb, who kept the game close with some spectacular saves.

It was a great tournament showing for the Stars and a great season. Enjoy the summer Stars and we will see you at the last ice time and Banquet.
