Stars Tie Ayr 5-5
The Stars finished off their second game in back to back nights of play gaining a tie against Ayr 1.
Down early by 2 the Stars fought back to tie the game at the end of the 1st period with 2 quick goals. The first scored by Jaxsen L from the blue line and the second by Andrew R on a wrist shot to the top corner. The Stars then took the lead in the 2nd on a goal by Gabe b getting his first of the year and a 4th goal by Sterling G on a beautiful deke on the Ayr goalie. Up 4 -2 the Stars would give one back a penalty kill but Andrew R would restore the 2 goal lead putting the Stars up 5 -3. Credit needs to been given to Ayr as they fought back hard for the tie in the 3rd period. I much better game played by the Stars. Our Smartie award player, Sterling Grubb for a great block on the open side of the Stars net. Our Hard hat award player of the game, Gabe B, getting his 1st goal of his career and working hard in those dirty spots in front of the net. A good rebound game but lets keep the puck bouncing in the right direction as we head into the play downs Stars. See you at practice Sat morning in Wellesley.
