Bantam LL, U15, 2014-2015 (Twin Centre Minor Hockey)

Victory! The Stars were shining against Paris Wolfpack 2 and we had a 2-0 win in our final game of the round robin playoffs!

The plan was to start with our ''A" game right away. Go hard to the Woolwich Wildcats net and get some goals, and don't let up - that didn't happen. The first few shifts were a little sloppy and some very questionable calls by the referees. It appeared we were in for a double battle!

It was 10 days since our last playoff game and the boys started little sluggish. Penalties started right away but scoring didn't start until the 5:41 mark of the second period when Tyris put in the rebound from Jacob's shot.  

The Stars continued to shine in playoff game 2 by corralling the Wolfpack and getting a 2-1 victory. Once again going to the net paid off for both goals. Some awesome hand eye coordination for Jacob by batting the puck out of the air and into the net early in the 1st period was a great start. Being in the right place at the right time paid off for Cade scoring early in the 3rd.     

The Stars continued the scoring magic by hitting the back of the net 7 times against the Woolwich Wildcats. Not only was the net busy but the posts got a workout as well with Hunter getting a "post trick" instead of a "hatrick". The game was close at the beginning of the 3rd period but we continued offensive pressure and capitalized on our chances. Good penalty killing (playing the box), passing and strong defense was also an asset in the game. We just have to work on staying out of the penalty box for the upcoming games. Go Stars Go!
