Upcoming Blood Donation Day on January 4th
Submitted By Barb Esbaugh on Saturday, December 19, 2020
TCMHA is pleased to partner with Canadian Blood Services for the "Blood Donor Clinic" event on January 4th, 2021 at the Wellesley Community Centre at 2:30pm-8:30pm.

How to Get Involved - Contact Kersten Dupuis to book your team donation - [email protected]

-Every 60 seconds, a patient in Canada needs blood

-Donated blood lasts no longer than 42 days.  Due to its limited shelf life, maintaining an adequate national inventory level is critical

-100,000 new blood donors are needed every year to meet the needs of patients across Canada

-It takes teamwork to help patients.  It could take up to 50 donors to help save a crash victim, eight donors a week to help treat someone with leukemia and five donors to help someone through heart surgery

-Donate blood three times in a single year and score your very own #HockeyGivesBlood hat trick.  It's a quick and simple way to make a difference in your community

-Book now to donate at blood.ca/HGB, call 1 888 2 DONATE or download the GiveBlood app

Come out and join your community in donating blood at this event.
