Updated Township of Wellesley Arena Protocol
Submitted By David Dienesch on Wednesday, November 25, 2020
Please see the two links below for the updated guidelines provided by Region and the Township of Wellesley today for the use of the arena during Twin Centre Stars ice times.

Of note, the Township has been informed from Public Health and the Province that the restrictions in the Red (Control) category state that 10 people maximum are allowed inside the arena (excluding Township staff).  This number includes coaches and players, thus a maximum of 8 players and 2 team officials (1 coach and 1 trainer) are permitted in the arena at this time.

Parents/Guardians will no longer be able to accompany their child into the arena until further notice due to the Provincial government restrictions that have been informed to Region of Waterloo Public Health and the Township of Wellesley.  Players who require assistance with equipment and/or skates will need to have parents/guardians assist them prior to entering the facility.  The Township of Wellesley has changed the entrance process and will be providing chairs and skate mats at the entrance to help with players getting ready with their parent/guardian before coming into the arena.

The current restrictions and protocols are a change from what we have been used to since the start of this season and we are sure there will be questions which we will seek to answer or get information back to our association members.  We continue to keep the health and safety as the priority for our players and we appreciate your patience during this time as we all adjust to the new protocols.

Should you have any questions, comments or concerns, please provide your feedback to our email inbox at: [email protected].

Thank you,
Twin Centre Minor Hockey Association Executive
