Twin Centre Summer Update
While we all continue to enjoy the summer
weather, the upcoming season is getting closer and closer.
So many exciting things are happening that we wanted to send an update out. Our registration is nearly identical to last year, so we are excited to plan for another 18 teams this season.
Summer Power Skating
Details: Twin Centre has partnered with Prolific Hockey to host 4 Power Skating sessions in August for interested players to get ready for the upcoming season. There are a few spots remaining.
Location - Bill Gies Recreation Centre, Wellesley
Dates - Aug 25, 26, 27, 28
Time: 6-7pm
Ages: U11, U13 & U15
Max 18 skaters (if more register, we will add to the waiting list)
Cost: $120 for 4 sessions

"Select" Teams - Twin Centre has been approved for "Select" teams in age divisions where there are enough interested players from LL to do so. Evaluations for Select will occur after Rep tryouts are completed and expected to start in October. These teams would play games against other Select teams and be able to register for tournaments and are geared for those LL players looking for an option of additional ice time and development throughout the season.
Mark your calendars:
Used Equipment Swap (with the Hericanes) - booked Wednesday, August 13 at the pavilion by the old arena
Pre-skates - for all players registered in Twin Centre will begin the week of September 2 through September 14 - each player registered in U8 and above is welcome to attend the pre-skate sessions
Rep Tryouts - for players registered in Twin Centre will begin the week of September 15 through September 21
Body Checking Clinics - this clinic is mandatory for all U15 players registered to participate in tryouts. Exceptions will be made to allow any possible 2nd year U13 AP players to attend as space permits. Clinic sessions will be scheduled before September 15.
Hockey Day - Saturday, Nov 8 - all teams will have games and we have some fun events planned

U18 Rep & LL Frozen Classic - Jan 16-18
U7/U8 Jamborees - March 28/29
FREE Goalie Training - Twin Centre will continue to offer goalie training clinics free to rostered players and Twin Centre has invested in new equipment for goalies U9 and below. We will again partner with Forrest Goaltending to deliver this elite level opportunity to all of our Twin Centre goalies.
Equipment Rental Program - Twin Centre has up to 40 sets of youth equipment for our equipment rental program for First Stars and U7 age groups. Please reach out if you are interested in rental equipment for the upcoming season.
First Stars Program - our First Stars Program is at capacity. Families who are still interested are welcome to register next season for this program.
Special THANKS to the Kitchener Rangers Reach Community Impact Grant that Twin Centre was awarded in 2025. This impact grant has assisted Twin Centre in adding to our Goalie equipment, Equipment rental program and soon to be TC Lending Locker for the upcoming season!
