PeeWee Rep, U13, 2016-2017 (Twin Centre Minor Hockey)

The Muskoka Rock Tournament, our last Tournament of the year was a huge success!  The tournament was about a 3 hour drive and round robin games were played in the Bala arena (the coldest arena I've ever been in!)  The Tournament consisted of 10 teams.  The Stars finished the round robin tied for 1st with 23 points!

Its been a long windy regular season for the Peewee Rep team so far.  I am very impressed the way this team has started to progress, just in time to enter the playoffs.  Our season finale tonight against Aylmer should be a close game, our first meeting ended in a tie.  I have enjoyed working with the players so far and I look forward to seeing us continue to improve in the playoffs. GO STARS GO!

After struggling through the first few games of the season the Stars are starting to come together.  Our record does not indicate how we have played this season and for the most part, I am pleased with how we are progressing.  I have asked players to play unfamiliar positions and there is a learning curve that we are beginning to see solid progress on.  The players are starting to learn how to play together as well as the value in "game" focus and effort on the ice.  I look forward to continuing to improve this team and get them playoff ready.  We head into a tournament this weekend in Arthur ...

For those remaining players coming to tryout times Thursday at 6:05 and Friday at 7:05 you will be involved in both ice times. Final team selections will be made after the Friday ice time so please allow time to meet individually with me after the ice on Friday.  (between 8-9 pm in the arena) You have all shown very well and make these last choices very difficult.  I appreciate the effort you have put in so far.
