Atom LL1, U11, 2013-2014 (Twin Centre Minor Hockey)

In our last game of the season, a must win game, the Stars fell short of our championship goal.  Losing 4-0 to Woolwich in a much better effort than yesterday.  We weren't able to capitalize on our chances.  I am VERY proud of the Stars, they way they played all year and the efforts they put out for each other every game.  The boys have nothing to hang their heads about.  2nd out of 17 teams is a huge accomplishment.  I am proud to have coached these players and hopefully will see some again next year..... GO STARS GO!!

After a long break the Stars showed the rust in a lack luster effort resulting in a loss.  SUPERSTAR Helmet goes to Barett - flying!  Goals by Barett and Thomas.  Assist to Christian. Better effort in store tomorrow!! GO STARS GO!!!

​As the LL1 team heads into the finals I would like to take this time to thank everyone for their help and support throughout the season. 

Going into the final game of the playoffs, needing one point to get to the final - The Stars were relentless.  Stars started slow but grew stronger with each minute.  The constant pressure against the other team forced them into frustration.  SUPERSTAR helmet goes to Cory - playing everywhere and playing hard.  Goals by Christian (2), Barett and Cory.  Assists to Christian, Noah, Blake and Thomas. BRING ON THE FINALS! GO STARS GO!!!!

Incredible.  That's the only word to describe the effort by the Stars today.  In the face of adversity, short 3 forwards, playing with only 9 skaters, the stars showed their character.  ALL of the boys played amazingly.  3 defense rotated through and played very solid while our make-shift forward lines pressured Woolwich 3 right to the end.  Big saves at key times, key goals at the right times and the Stars won 3-1 in a must win game.  ALL 10 players get the SUPERSTAR helmet today.  Goals by Barett (2) and Blake.  Assist to Blake, Michael and Cory. GO STARS GO!!!!
