Twin Centre Home Tournament Recap
The U13 Rep team competed at our home rinks in St Clements & Wellesley this past weekend in the Twin Centre Rep Classic Tournament.

The U13 Stars began their tournament play on Friday in a thrilling sudden death shootout win vs Centre Wellington Fusion.  After a hard fought game leading by one goal but a quick goal from the Fusion with 30 seconds left in regulation sent the game to sudden death overtime.  After a scoreless 4on4 overtime, it was on to the 5 player shootout.  Still tied after the 5 player shootout, meant a sudden death shootout was next.  Both teams continued through the shootout and with every single player on the TC Stars waiting in the opponent penalty box after shooting, we had to go through the roster again - our 16th shootout player was where the game ended in a 4-3 Stars WIN!

After an exciting and unbelievable shootout win early Friday, the second game of the tournament was a matchup with Mooretown Jr. Flags.  After a slower start, the Stars picked up the pace over the last two periods ending in an 8-3 WIN.

Saturday began with a morning tilt with Wallaceburg Lakers.  A consistent effort scoring in each period, led to the Twin Centre Stars coming out with their 3rd straight WIN and finishing the Round Robin at a 3-0 record and 2nd place finish based on goals scored.

The Stars 4th game of the tournament was the Quarter Final game against the St Thomas Stars.  After a tight back and forth scoreless first period, TC Stars took a 3-0 lead in the 2nd period and added another 3 goals in the final period for a 6-1 WIN.  The Twin Centre Stars would then move to the Semi Final game on Sunday.

Sunday's game was a tough battle against another undefeated opponent through the Round Robin in the East Lambton Eagles.  This game would be the last stand for the TC Stars in tournament play.  East Lambton came out on top with a 6-0 win moving them on to the Finals and East Lambton were the eventual winners with a 9-2 win over Centre Wellington Fusion.

A very strong showing from the TC Stars in this tournament ending with a 4-1 record.

Great effort and results TC Stars!
