Win for the Stars at Hockey Day in Rangers Nation
The Stars had an experience of a lifetime winning the chance to participate in the Hockey Day in Rangers Nation on Saturday afternoon at the Kitchener Auditorium.

The Stars took on the Woolwich Wildcats for a 4pm game on Saturday.  Pre-game we were greeted by our Rangers representative who took us to Dressing Room #4 across the hall from the Kitchener Rangers dressing room.  Each player had their own locker cubby with their name above their spot.  Gatorade and water were ready for us as we prepared for the game as well as a souvenir prize pack for each player.  Once it was game time, we lined up in High Five Alley to await each players name to be called to step out onto the ice.  The Stars were the home team in this game so we were on the Rangers home bench.  Players were introduced one-by-one to the ice and lined up at the blueline for the Canadian National Anthem before puck drop.

The game started with us adjusting to the bigger sheet of ice but we lit the goal lamp at 4:35 of the first period to go up 1-0 hearing the signature Rangers goal horn sounds out above the cheers from our devoted fans.  The second period we scored again at 6:45 to take a 2-0 lead into the third period.  The third period we turned up the pressure and added 2 goals within the first 2 minutes of the period.  Midway through the third we added another 2 goals only 7 seconds apart, ending the game with a 6-0 win.  The Stars savored the win after the final horn sounded with a short skate and high five's.  Way to go Stars!

Most of the team also went to the Kitchener Rangers vs Kingston Frontenacs game on Sunday afternoon in our own group section in the stands.  A fun game to watch as the Rangers pulled out a 3-2 win against the visiting Frontenacs.  Our Stars cheered as our team name came up on the video board throughout the game.  We prepare to finish off this year with a battle Monday night against the New Hamburg Huskies in Wellesley followed by an away game against Embro on Saturday.

Go Stars Go!
