Playoff Game 4 Stars vs Tavistock Titans

The Stars take the 1st game in the 2 game home at home series vs the Tavistock Titans with a 4-1 victory.

While the score doesn't indicate it; this was a very close game with chances coming at both ends. With first period ending scoreless, it was Jaxsen L who would pocket the first Stars goal, unassisted halfway through the 2nd period. The Titans responded quickly and tied the game up at 3:30 market , but the Stars would pushed back and Alan D would reclaim the lead for the Stars with a goal assisted by Jaxsen L at 2:27 and then Alan D would later add a another goal assisted by Jaxsen L and Jaden G in the 3rd. Cam B would finish off the Stars scoring in the 3rd with his 1st goal assisted by Scott D.

The Stars played a great game and maintained their composure throughout the parade of penalties that rained down on both teams during the 3rd period. Seager G was awarded the hard hat player of the game for a wonderful performance in net and Jaxsen L and Alan D were awarded the smartie play of the game for taking a play from practice and putting it into effect for the Stars 3rd goal of the game.

All the Stars played well and our defensive core held us in the game killing off a 5-3 early in the 3rd period when the Stars only had a 1 goal lead. Shut outs to all the Stars for putting forward a great effort : Hayden F hang in there with stiches to play solid D, Alen V for a great move in off the blue line just missing the open side of the net, Owen J another solid game on the blue line and a great effort up on forward when called to step up, Owen V providing a great fore check and positioning in front of the net, Michael B showing once more his quick speed down the wing and Alex G a terrific penalty kill in the 3rd period getting that puck down the ice consistently.

Another great game; time to get ready for the Wildcats next Saturday for game 2. See you all at practice tomorrow.

Go Stars!!!
