Stars vs Wolf Pack Game #7
Saturday afternoon the Stars kept their mojo flowing from Monday night to put up a 10-4 Victory against the Paris Wolf Pack in game 2 of their match up.
The Stars jumped out to an early 3-1 first period lead on 2 goals by Sterling G, the second assisted by Ethan E . Andrew R added the 3rd goal assisted by Gabe B and Kyle W. The Wolf Pack would climb back into the game to tie it at 3's in the second but Kyle W would put the Stars ahead with the 4th goal, scoring with only 0.2 seconds left on the clock. In the 3rd the Stars would add another 6 goals to seal the deal. Andrew R added the 5th assisted by Seth B and Ethan E. Ethan E added the 6th assisted by Alan D and Andrew R. Andrew R added the 7th assisted by Jaxsen L, Sterling G added the 8th and 9th on assists by Noah B, Kyle W, Andrew R and Ethan E. The 10th goal came from Ryerson S assisted by Ethan E. The Stars never quit and when the game got close they found that extra gear to power their way through to the end. A great game against a team that had won the regular season match up and 1st game in the play downs. It really goes to show how team play can provide positive results. And in a further note, their effort also resulted in a penalty free game. Our Hard hat player of the game Kyle W, getting the 4th goal with authority after the game being tied and setting up the Stars for their 3rd period performance. Our Smartie award player of the game Sterling G for knocking a lose puck out of the air and into the corner, breaking up an early Paris attack when the game was close. Solid effort by all the Star players! We have 1 game left vs the Generals, lets keep the mojo going and be ready for Wednesday night.
