Arthur Tournament Champions
Your Twin Centre Stars Novice Rep team are the Arthur Tournament Champions!
Our boys came out of the gate hard at 9am this morning beating Drayton 10-0 with 7 boys scoring those goals. 3 hours later we met the hometown Arthur Vipers in a hard fought battle. Our Stars rocked the Vipers in the first period getting ahead 3-0, adding another in the 2nd. The stars killed 4 penalties in the first 2 periods but didn't fare so well in the 3rd when the Vipers marked 2 power play goals. The boys held on for a 4-2 victory defeating the hometown team and overcoming somewhat lopsided officiating. The final game vs. West Grey came at 7pm with both undefeated teams coming to play. 3 periods of end to end action resulted in a 0-0 tie after regulation. Tournament rules require teams to pick 3 shooters. Our first 2 shooters scored amazing goals as our goaltender shut out their 2 shooters. Twin Centre wins!! This was an amazing team effort by all the boys. It was so great to see. We are very proud of the boys!!
