Stars End Season In Beverly
What a fantastic night for hockey, the weather cleared, the sun was out and anticipation was high.
Welcome to the 3rd game of the B final; the "rubber match" against the Beverly Bandits. The night started with great ended to end action but slowly Stars encounter a shut down defense and ran some penalty trouble along the way. The game was anticipated to be another close one and by the end of the 1st period it certainly looked that way with the teams tied 1-1 with a Stars goal by Andrew r assisted by Michael B. It was the second period which saw the Stars undoing as the parade to the penalty box began while the crowd witnessed Beverly notching their second and third goals of the night. The Stars would get a second goal in the third scored by Jaxsen L and assisted by Alan D but that would be all, losing 6-2 and finishing second to the Bandits. It was a great season with many highlights; winning the Canadian tire Cup in Hanover, a strong showing the international Silver Stick finals, finishing at the top of the B pool, taking second in the round robin and who can forget beating Beverly in Beverly in a come back in OT. Memories boys, memories to learn from, cherish and build on. I know I speak for all the coaches, we were very proud to be your coaches and watch you develop through out the year.
