Redemption!
The LL#1 Stars were put to the test by the Huskies in game 2 of their round robin meeting. With the Huskies jumping out to an early 1-0 lead, Andrew R tied it up a 1:40 later.
The tie was short lived and the Huskies took the lead again by the end of the 1st period. With the brief rest between periods the Stars came back quickly to tie it once again with Andrew R getting his second of the night on an assist by Alan D. The Huskies fought back and jumped back into the lead in the 3rd period but Andrew R respond with his 3rd of the night, followed by Jaxsen L's first just 14 seconds later. The Huskie would tie it just one more time and from that moment on the nail biting began until the 5:35 mark in the 3rd with Andrew R getting his fourth and Jaxsen L assisted by Jaden G getting his second with 1:44 left in the game. Tonight the Stars did not quit, they did not get down and they fought hard for the victory. The Hard Hat player of the game was awarded to Andrew R for his great effort fighting off all those Huskies. The Smartie award went the Jaxsen L for using his shooting ability. Huge SHOUT OUT to Seager G for a great effort in net and putting up with all those Huskie pokes after the whistle. Solid effort all around by Sam M, Logan G, Ethan E, Mathais C, Alex L, Michael B and Hayden F. In the end there it was Redemption, brought about by hard work and focus. Congratulations Stars!!!
