Stars Roll Over for Huskies in 3rd
The Stars in the first meeting of the round robin with the New Hamburg Huskies jumped out to a great start. Through the first 2 periods of play the Stars were able control the neutral zone and cycle the puck down low in the Huskies end, rewarding them with a 3 -0 lead.
Hockey is a 3 period game and the Stars quickly learned that as their good habits broke down and allowed the Huskies 5 unanswered goals in the 3rd. Hard hat player of the game was awarded to Sam M for another solid effort, easily his best of the season. The Smartie award was handed out to Hayden F for a great diving play to prevent a Huskie goal on the open net. It's time to retool, regain our focus and get back to the basic's boys. The Huskie rematch is set for Thursday Feb 26 6:00pm. See you at practice.
