TCMHA players and families,
We hope this update finds you well and you are looking forward to returning to the ice! As you may be aware, Waterloo Region has moved out of the provincial lockdown effective today, February 16th, and our region has been moved into the "Red" Control zone as part of the provincial framework.
This means that your Board of Directors has been able to convene and make decisions on the restarting of our hockey programming for the remainder of the season. Our plans are to run programming up until mid-April.
The Township of Wellesley has confirmed the ice in Wellesley Arena will be ready this coming weekend so our teams will begin to get back onto the ice starting with ice times on Saturday February 20th. We have been working closely with the Township and are planning to return to the "Red" zone requirements of 10 players per ice time and do not expect a change in the protocols we had followed as an Association prior to the end of December. Should there be any changes, we will communicate those prior to the first ice times on Saturday.
Further details and a schedule of teams and ice times will be posted in the next few days as we firm up our schedules and ice commitments with the Township. Please stay tuned to the website calendar and your email as communications will be coming to all coaches, teams and players/parents as we return to the ice.
Your Board is looking forward to continue offering hockey programming to all our Association players.
