Twin Centre Hockey Day Recap
Submitted By Barb Esbaugh on Monday, April 15, 2019
Our first Twin Centre Hockey Day was held on Saturday March 30, 2019 with all of our Twin Centre teams participating throughout the day.

The first game of the day started at 8:30am with our youngest group of Initiation players.  The Tyke, Novice LL and Novice Rep teams finished off the morning schedule while the remaining teams: Atom LL, Atom AE, Atom Rep, Peewee LL, Peewee Rep, Bantam LL, Bantam Rep, Midget LL1, Midget LL2 played during the afternoon and evening schedule, games finished up at 9:30pm.

Visiting teams that travelled to play during our Hockey Day were: Central Perth, Arthur, Plattsville, New Hamburg, Listowel and Woolwich.  We also had teams that mixed together to play an intersquad game as part of the fun Hockey Day action.  Our Bantam LL and Peewee Rep teams mixed together, as did our Atom LL, Atom AE and Atom Rep groups.

The premier event of the day was game 5 of the OMHA final series with Twin Centre Midget Rep hosting the Highland Storm from Haliburton.  The Twin Centre Stars put on an exciting home game, winning 2-0 in front of the home crowd and sending the series back to Haliburton for the deciding game 6 of their OMHA final series, which Twin Centre won the following day!
